Elsa Badjoumbena BAKOLE is an expert in gender integration and the management of sexual and reproductive rights issues within programs and projects. With extensive experience working with organizations such as Amnesty International, Plan International Togo & Benin, and a degree in Gender and Development from the Geneva Graduate Institute of Development Studies, she actively supports the training and development of social movements.
A secular, universalist, and radical Afro-feminist, she embodies her convictions through various initiatives, including Auréole Monde, a social enterprise specializing in the production and sale of reusable menstrual protection. Through this initiative, she tackles both menstrual poverty and environmental protection, with the company’s profits dedicated to supporting survivors of gender-based violence. She is also the creator of "LOIV," a web and mobile application that facilitates reporting and support for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in Togo, enhancing access to sexual and reproductive health resources.
As a founding member of IASD and its current Executive Secretary, Elsa is a dedicated activist committed to the causes she embraces, including sustainable development.
